Omelika Kuumba is a native of Brooklyn, NY and a graduate of Spelman College. Kuumba is a drummer, dancer, choreographer, musical arranger, cultural arts educator, and co-founder/ artistic director of GIWAYEN MATA. She has studied under the direction of master dancers and percussionists in this country and in Senegal, West Africa. Other highlights of her career include performing during the Opening and Closing Ceremonies of the 1996 Summer Olympic Games, teaching and choreographing at Trollwood Performing Arts School in North Dakota, and teaching percussion and choreographing in Stuttgart, Germany, Hastings, England and Bermuda. Omelika is an instructor and workshop leader and lecturer of percussion and dance at various schools and programs to expand awareness and appreciation of African dance and music. She is an instructor of African Dance Forms at Spelman College, directs Ashietu, the Sisters Chapel African Dance and Drum Ministry at Spelman College, and teaches West African dance for Atlanta Ballet’s AileyCamp. She has been a consultant for the Atlanta Public Schools Gifted and Talented Program and the National Black Arts Festival.

Robert John Connor, award winning director, has worked in the arts and entertainment industry for over 30 years as an actor, singer, writer, director and producer. A graduate of Morehouse College, Robert studied music, radio, film and television. Robert went on to pursue acting and music, and has appeared in a variety of stage productions including: Camelot, Crowns, The Club, Urinetown, Queen of the Blues, Higher Ground, Come out of the Rain, Tyler Perry’s I Know I’ve Been Changed and Jezebel. Some of his film and television credits include: Greenleaf, A Different World, The Cosby Show, the film Glory, and Showtime at the Apollo. As a musician Robert has recorded and arranged vocals for a variety of artists, jingles for national and international products and has sung with a variety of artists including: Michael Buble, Gladys Knight, Barry Manilow, Byron Cage and Cassi Davis. Robert went on to earn a Masters of Fine Arts in Performance and Dramatic Media from the University of Georgia, and has directed productions including: Jar The Floor, Dreamgirls, The Amen Corner, Romeo & Juliet, Execution of Justice, Black Nativity, Hairspray, Miss Saigon and the world premiere of the amateur production of The Color Purple.

Jeremy E. Cormier is the Chief Executive Officer of Jeremy Cormier Presents, an entertainment company based in Atlanta, GA. He serves as an Executive Producer, Playwright, and Director. Jeremy was born and raised in St. Martinville (Cade), Lafayette, Louisiana. He is the middle child of 5. In 2004, Jeremy moved to Atlanta, where he attended Morehouse College and obtained an undergraduate degree in Business Administration in 2008. He also obtained a Masters of Business Administration in 2012 from South University.  In his spare time, Jeremy is committed to enjoying life to the fullest as he participates in exciting hobbies through community service and entertainment projects. As a young kid being rewarded for his educational accolades, Jeremy’s parents took him to see his first live theater production at the Heymann Performing Arts Center, titled, “Be Careful What You Pray For” starring Shirley Murdock. It was then he knew what it felt like to be a fan of the arts. Years later in college, Jeremy would get a telephone call from a family member to assist some industry friends on a play in Atlanta, titled “The Life Story of Marvin Gaye”. After working on the production, Jeremy knew the production life was where he needed to be. He has worked on several service and entertainment projects over the last 12 years. Those projects include organizations such as the late James Brown Family Foundation where he currently serves as Director of Special Programming, Morehouse College Community Service Day and organized a project with two of the late Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. children.  His entertainment projects range from working on production featuring Nicki Minaj, Ludacris, T.I, Shirley Murdock and a host of others. Cormier’s background and experience is pretty extensive for such a young age and he continues to build his resume. He made his Directorial Debut in 2015 in Louisiana with his own production at the Heymann Performing Arts Center titled, “Even A Good Man Is Tempted.”  Cormier is currently partnering with several schools in the southern states to bring awareness to bullying with an antibullying initiative titled, “For Members Only: Rising Up 2 Bullying.”
